As I have mentioned before, I am not much of a drinker, so when I had my first sip of Guinness, my tongue hated me. It was a stronger taste than I could handle. Then, I went to Dublin.

My friends wanted to go to the Guinness Storehouse, and I came along to see what all the fuss was about. Little did I know that it was gonna be one of the most interesting museums I have ever been to (granted I’ve never been to too many museums). I remember the wood walls and the mood lighting they had set up. Everything was brown and cozy, you just wanted to get a blanket and snuggle with a glass of Guinness. There were many interesting facts all over the walls, and the whole place was an artwork. A couple floors up the building is a taste test area. I grabbed one little plastic cup of Guinness. The most refreshing beer ever! I’ve never said “beer” and “refreshing” in one sentence before. It was nice, smooth, and cool to the tongue. I regretted ever hating Guinness after that.

A couple more escalators up, there was a “Pour a Pint” class going on. I definitely did not wanna miss out on this! I grabbed a tulip-shaped glass and learned how to pour a perfect pint of Guinness at the Guinness brewery in Dublin! They even gave me a certificate! I got to drink the perfect pint myself at the lounge next to the class. It was an awesome experience and definitely a story I am proud of telling to my beer-drinking friends back home. This is now my drink of choice when I go out with friends. I hate carbonated drinks, so Guinness is perfect for me!

Perfect Pour Certificate

Europe is filled with plenty of alcohol breweries that people can visit and get a free glass to drink while you’re exploring the area. Which alcohol brewery would you want to visit?

Tip: This brewery is seven stories tall. Make sure you set ample time to visit and check out all the interesting things they’ve set up! Visit the Gravity Bar on the seventh floor to get a 360degree view of the city while having your Guinness! In my opinion, it’s probably better to see the city while the sun is still out. Enjoy!
