Halfway Point: Mid-year Review

Jul 6, 2011 by     No Comments    Posted under: Bucket List, Life Experiences, Planning

I don’t know if you know this, but…six months have gone by of 2011. This is by far the fastest moving year ever! Have you completed or still completing your New Year Resolution?

I’m proud to say that we are on track with our traveling resolution. Let’s recap the major trips that have already been taken. What an amazing year it has already been!

January 2011: Telluride, Colorado

With over 50 friends riding the mountains with us, this was easier to plan than we had imagined! Thanks to all the wonderful friends who joined! More about this trip when the winter is near!

June 2011: Electric Daisy Carnival – Las Vegas, Nevada

This was not on our bucket list, but it turned into one of our bigger traveling experiences. Rolling 12 people deep, we marched our butts to Vegas for the 15th annual Electric Daisy Carnival. This was a carnival you would hate to miss out on! I still wish I was back at the Las Vegas Motor Speedway dancing my way through crowds, art installations, carnival rides, theatrics, and of course their six stages. Shout out to birthday boy, Zack! I know you had a blast!

September 2011: Burning Man Festival – Black Rock City, Nevada

Tickets? Check! RV? Check! It’s going to be a long drive to this festival, but it will be more than worth it. It’s going to be a once in a lifetime experience (for now)! Black Rock City, get ready for us!

October 2011: Voodoo Experience Music Festival – New Orleans, Louisiana

Thanks to expedia.com, our flight and hotel package came out to a low $735 total for two people for three nights! Thank you packages! We have also purchased our 3 day passes to the event, and we’re looking forward to meeting our friend, Alex. It’s been awhile since Barcelona, mi amigo!

Philippines

Please congratulate Ray for passing his citizenship exam! The ceremony and the passport are the only things left before we can start planning this trip! Our motherland for the first time together! How can this get any better?

The dwindling vacation hours from work are the main issue that we cannot exactly control. We still manage to work hard and play even harder! I’m looking forward to writing these articles for you, and I hope you are looking forward to future reads.

Where have you gone this year? What was your most favorite? What are you looking forward to?

Got anything to say? Go ahead and leave a comment!
